I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Toyota of Muscatine, and I urge anyone considering doing business here to be very careful with documentation. I purchased a 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid XSE (VIN ending 3869) on February 26, 2026 and clearly instructed that the vehicle was being purchased under Universal Support, Inc. Despite this, the dealership processed all documents under my personal name using an electronic signature system without clearly disclosing what was being signed. What went wrong The Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin (MSO) and assignment were incorrectly completed, listing me personally instead of the intended organization. I later prepared proper Illinois Power of Attorney and correction documents, which the dealer needed to sign to fix the issue. The dealership has not corrected the error despite multiple requests and formal notice. Real consequences I am now facing This is not a minor paperwork issue. It has caused real damage: I was issued a citation for driving an unregistered vehicle The Illinois Motor Vehicles Department refused to register the vehicle under the correct entity I now face court proceedings, fines, and inability to legally use the vehicle I have spent significant time and effort trying to resolve a problem that originated entirely from dealership documentation errors Current status As of today, the dealership has not provided a corrected title or signed correction form, even though: They have all required documentation The error has been clearly identified The consequences were foreseeable and now have occurred Final thoughts This situation could have been easily corrected early. Instead: There has been lack of accountability There has been delay despite urgency The issue has escalated to legal and financial harm for the customer I am still requesting a simple resolution: Provide a corrected title or sign the Illinois correction form so the vehicle can be properly registered. Recommendation If you are buying from this dealership: ⚠️ Carefully read every document before signing ⚠️ Do not rely on verbal assurances ⚠️ Ensure the buyer name is correct before leaving I hope management takes this review seriously and resolves the issue immediately.

My experience at Toyota of Muscatine was excellent. Our salesman, Donovan, was very efficient and easy to work with from helping us decide which vehicle we wanted to buy and getting all the details right in ordering our new vehicle and settling on a price for our trade-in. No pressure. No stress. I love my 2026 Grand Highlander!

Coming from Iowa City, I had been searching for a new Toyota Grand Highlander and reached out to 7-8 dealerships in the area. To my surprise, Toyota of Muscatine stood out from the rest—while others couldn’t deliver the vehicle within 90 days, they managed to get my new car to me in just 6 weeks at a great price. From the very beginning, the team made the entire process feel warm and welcoming. It was as if I was working with family rather than typical salespeople, which made a huge difference. There was no pressure to purchase any extra services or packages; instead, everything was straightforward and transparent. Very poor pre-purchase inspection experience. I requested a Toyota vehicle I was planning to purchase private party undergo in depth inspection to evaluate overall vehicle condition and advise on upcoming routine maintenance. I was reassured that routine things like engine oil level, coolant level, and cabin air filter were all in order. After purchasing the vehicle and getting a chance to inspect it in my own shop, the coolant overflow reservoir was actually empty, the engine oil was filled over a quart too full, and the cabin air filter had been installed upside down for an unknown duration of time (but long enough to accumulate significant debris and obviously not normal). All in all, I cannot trust their pre-purchase inspection given I was told these things were normal and actually were not. When I called to explain my disappointment and request a refund I was told that these items were checked and in good condition and I must be mistaken and that because I requested scanner tool to be hooked up to evaluate for any codes (a $160 job they did for "free", according to service manager - but can be done for free at any o'reilly's or AutoZone), that I would not be receiving any refund. To add insult to injury, the sellers of this vehicle had previously warned us that, in their experience, this dealership was dishonest. I have to say, I understand why now. Edit 4/15: after a phone call with the Dubuque location, they listened to my concerns and frustrations and made it right. I appreciate them following-up and taking ownership of the experience. Based on my interaction with the Dubuque location I am updating this review but still will not do business with Muscatine Toyota dealership in the future.

I had an issue with my 2023 Toyota Highlander. I called on a Friday & they got me in on the following Tuesday to get my car looked at. We have a Toyota dealership in Burlington they could not get me until April 3! They are very easy to work with and Ashley the service manager is amazing to work with! Service was great!

Toyota of Muscatine always has exceptional service and friendly staff when I take my vehicle for a service. They are thorough and efficient and listen to my concerns about my vehicle. The overall experience has been great over the years. I always return.

I bought a used 2017 Highlander XLE from Landon today. He was incredibly easy to work with. He got me all of the info I requested ahead of time so I was in and out of the dealership pretty quickly and without any fuss. Everyone at the dealership was helpful and professional. The team was fantastic. We were in the area from Colorado and staying in Iowa City. They went so far as to deliver the car to Iowa City after we'd purchased it, obtaining the title for us, and shipping the title to our home in Colorado. They were very responsive, friendly, and reasonable, making the stress of shopping a breeze. A fantastic place to purchase a new vehicle.
